The Anglican Christian Women Association

The Anglican Christian Women Association (ACWA) is the newest organisation in the Church. The organisation was instituted in July.

The aim of ACWA is to provide women with an opportunity to discover and live out the meaning of their baptism in Christ. It provides women with the opportunity to serve in God’s Church through WORSHIP, FELLOWSHIP, SERVICE AND MISSION.

ACWA exists in several Anglican providences worldwide. It was established in the Diocese of the Windward Island in the last decade and is governed by a Diocesan Council.

The Group has elected its Executive and four working Committee and meets monthly on the second Thursday.

ACWA undertook its first formal activity in the Church by running the Confectionary Stall at the Annual All Day Fair on August 4th, 2014. Members of ACWA were visible working in the lunch booth at the Fair.

The Group is currently developing its work programme.

All young women in the Church are invited to be part of ACWA.
